The Icing House

Born in Lima, Peru, Pastry Chef Eliana Simon brings together her Peruvian roots and her American experience through desserts that celebrate tradition, creativity, and flavor.

What began as a passion for baking and cake decorating grew into Sweets by Deliciosa in 2011, and later into The Icing House, a dessert brand known for its handcrafted Peruvian alfajores, custom cakes, and a growing collection of Peruvian and American desserts. A self-taught baker and entrepreneur, Eliana built her business while working full-time in banking, eventually leaving the corporate world to dedicate herself entirely to pastry.

Her dedication to Peruvian gastronomy has taken her beyond her own kitchen. As a member of the Peruvian American Chef Association (PACHA), she has participated in culinary events and festivals throughout the United States. Her alfajores were recognized as Best Dessert at the Sumaq Peruvian Food Festival in 2023, and in 2025 she represented Peru at the prestigious Embassy Chef Challenge in Washington, D.C., where her signature Susurro Quebranta contributed to Peru’s winning presentation among more than 40 participating embassies.

Eliana is also recognized for bringing Peruvian desserts to a broader American audience. Her alfajores became among the first Peruvian dessert products offered through Amazon, allowing customers across the United States to experience an authentic taste of Peru. Today, as a Marca Perú licensee, she continues her mission of sharing the richness of Peruvian culture through every dessert she creates.
